Equans is looking for an HR Administrator to join our team in Newcastle Upon Tyne on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £21,500 - £25,000 dependant on skills and experience and company benefits package.

 

 

As HR Administrator, you will be responsible for all HR Administrative activities for Equans UK. You will provide an exceptional, quality service to support the full employee life cycle from ‘hire to retire’. This is a varied role, where you will work with multiple stakeholders, terms and conditions and contract types on a daily basis, as well as contributing to exciting, new projects to drive improvements and efficiencies.

As a member of our Shared Services team, you will have the ability to work flexibly from our brand-new office space at the Quorum Business Park for 2 days each week, with 3 days at home. What will you deliver?

  • Be responsible for the preparation, distribution and HR & Payroll system updates for new employee contracts, contractual amends and leaver processes.
  • Ensure all pre employment checks such as Right to Work (UK), Disclosure checks, Safeguarding, British standard security vetting, Post offer health assessments are carried out in line with current legislation.
  • Provide personal data in line with Equans standards and GDPR guidelines to HR and Data Privacy teams.
  • Provide HR and managers support on occupational health services for referrals and post offer health questionnaires.
  • Deal with queries from employees, managers and HR on all HR Administrative processes and procedures.
  • Support the maintenance of process documentation.
  • Support the delivery of administrative duties as and when required for the Employee Services function.
  • Identify and support process improvements to deliver best practice in HR Administration.

Who are we looking for? You will need:

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Knowledge of current GDPR. legislation.
  • to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and great attention to detail.
  • You will have to ability to prioritise your work load and work towards set deadlines as part of a team.
  • It would be desirable for you to have knowledge of SAP, although not essential as training can be provided.

 

This role includes a basic DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
